Scott Sawinski
Executive Director; hired 2019
Scott’s passion is working in the nonprofit sector, where he has spent over 18 years of his career helping those in need and making a difference in the community. VPI, Rawhide Youth Services and Jake’s Network of Hope are some of the stops along the way. However, being involved in the community and small business has also been a focal point for him. His desire is to help others grow their business and enrich the community at the same time. This is why leading the Fox West Chamber of Commerce is a perfect fit for him.
Scott attended UW-Whitewater where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Communications and Public Relations. He’s married to Nickie, a proud father of four teenagers and has four dogs. He is an avid ultimate frisbee player that has participated in multiple national championships and even represented the United States in 2022 at the Master’s World Ultimate Championships in Ireland where his team finished 7th in the world! He’s also very active in the basketball scene being a season ticket holder for the Wisconsin Herd and playing the sport multiple times per week. However, in true fashion he gives back to both sports by assisting collegiate ultimate teams throughout the Midwest in organizing its college tournaments and has been a youth basketball coach.

Sue Lamers
Membership Assistant; hired 2024
After retiring from a 22-year-long career in hospitality and event and banquet planning, Sue has joined the Fox West Chamber of Commerce as membership assistant to concentrate on membership recruitment and retention.
Born, raised and residing in the Appleton area all of her life, Sue raised two children and now has two grandchildren all residing within the Fox Valley. Sue’s first career was 27 years in health care. She credits her experience in the customer service industry and multi-tasking abilities for leading her to her second life career in hospitality. Starting as an event coordinator, Sue was promoted to roles as general manager of the two businesses she was associated with during her tenure in hospitality.
Sue has served on the Wisconsin Restaurant Association Board of Directors for 8 years during which time she was named Restaurateur of the Year by her local association chapter and then again by state peers in 2023. She is credited with starting a local wedding industry networking group which she has chaired for 15 years. Her community involvement has been rewarded with multiple accolades from both Fox West and Heart of the Valley Chambers of Commerce.
With her background in hospitality, Sue loves visiting the many quaint and local, community-focused restaurants and shops here in the Fox West area. Her leisure time is best spent with family at a serene Wisconsin lake or taking the grandchildren to enjoy local sites and adventures. While visiting all things local and with her hospitality background, she finds it difficult to name a favorite food. Sue’s pleasure rather takes form in trying new fusions and experiences in ‘something new and different’.
Sue looks forward to maintaining friendships and relationships with all of her past contacts while forging new ones in the future with all the wonderful Fox West businesses and entrepreneurs.
